My Faith

My faith is the most important part of better living. In fact, without it my life would not be worth living. It teaches me that I was created for a purpose. I know that there is more to life than what meets the eye. That what really counts is unseen and eternal!

My faith comes from the Bible. The Bible is the word of God. It is the only revelation of God that we have. It explains a lot about things and gives us the guidance we need to navigate through this world. More than that it provides the power to live a victorious life!

My faith is something I love to share because I see so many who are missing out on the blessings of God. I know how difficult it is to try and go through this life without Him. It makes me so glad if I can just help one person to come to know God. I have seen how He has changed many and what a wonderful difference He has made in their lives for the better!

Can You Believe It?

A man who lived about 2,000 years ago suffered the cruelest death for you. He was crucified. Not for any crimes that he had committed but to pay for your sins. So that you could be forgiven by God and live with Him forever, Jesus died for you.

He was able to die for you because He had no sins of His own. You see, He was God in the flesh. He came from heaven. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of Mary, he grew from infancy to adulthood. Though he lived a perfect life, when His time was come He laid down his life. Having been buried in a tomb, on the third day He arose from the dead appearing to His disciples and then ascended back into heaven.

In this we see the lengths to which God would go to provide a way for us to be saved from sin and to have eternal life. He loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Can you believe it?

Faith Is More Than Just Believing

How many of you have heard people say “I believe in God” or “I believe in Jesus Christ” or “I believe in the Bible” but their lives were not consistent with their statement? Maybe I’m talking about some of you. I know there are times in my own life when I realize that it doesn’t match up with my profession of faith.

What I have learned is that one may believe something but not let that belief determine his actions. One may deliberately violate his own conscience or it may be done unintentionally. Either way, that one is not following his belief. Only when one listens, trusts and follows his belief can it save him and lead him in the way of better living.

Faith means trusting in God enough to do what He says to do in order to be saved from sin and live a life of righteousness.

There must be a decision of faith the Bible calls repentance. This means to turn away from sin and toward God.

There must be a declaration of faith the Bible calls confession. One must declare his faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God.

There must be a demonstration of faith the Bible calls baptism. This is an immersion in water in order to obtain the forgiveness of sins.

There must be a life of faith the Bible calls faithfulness. It is unto death and guarantees the crown of life.

Don’t be fooled. Faith is more than just believing. It involves conviction, trust and obedience to God. This is the only way to better living!
